关于安装及维修APCups电源的问题，很多客户包括我的朋友问我如何安装以及维修，每一次问一次我都回答一次，今天APCups电源网做一次解答。希望能给朋友们一定的帮助。我大全的写一下手册吧
一、UPS之装设
1.地线
1)基本上，要使UPS有防雷击能力而不损毁，一定要有地线。故APC强烈建议使用
者安装地线。
2)Smart-UPS背板有一 “Site Wiring Fault” 红色LED。此灯亮起时表示地线
不良，可能为以下三种情形之一：
z无地线
z极性颠倒
z中线过载
2.插头
1)2200VA以上之UPS其电线电流负荷量达15A以上，因此其插头为20A以上。这种
情况下，以SU3000为例，自配电盘的保险丝开始，配线、插座、UPS插头、UPS
电源线，UPS断电器等全部须能负荷30A以上，才是安全的用电环境。2200VA以
上随机附有适用插座，请参阅下表。

2)若客户选购此种大VA数之UPS只为Runtime长，事实上负载并不大时，可以只
更换插头。
3.扩充卡安装
1)安装扩充卡前，请先将UPS放电。（Smart-UPS）
2)如遇UPS有任何不正常情况，请先移除所有连接的扩充卡再行测试。
4.装设完成
1.安装完成后开机，UPS即开始自我测试。任何时候怀疑Smart-UPS有不正常情况，
请尝试冷启动。（建议安装完先充电几小时）
2.建议以UPS开关为总开关。
二、软件安装
1.安装PowerChute Plus
1)自光盘安装
z 选择安装PowerChute或PowerNet
z 选择PowerChute for Windows or Windows 95或for NT
z 如选择NT则会先Stop UPS Service
z 选择Install Directory
z 选择UPS Model Type：SmartUPS, BackUPS, Matrix
z 选择Com Port
2)自APC网站上下载的程序安装
2.No Communication问题
z 确定Cable已确实接好，并已打开UPS开关。
z 确定只有UPS在使用指定的COM Port。
z 确定使用的Cable是正确的。

四、Smart-UPS维修
1.可先尝试冷启动，若无法冷启动，则UPS为故障。
2.可先去除所有配件，以简化问题。
3.请检查背板的自动断电器（Circuit Breaker）有无跳起。（可能因为超载）
4.如UPS有冒烟、烧焦或焦味，则UPS为故障。
5.如UPS面板灯全闪，则UPS为故障。
6.如更换电池灯号亮起，可先将UPS充电整夜，再进行自我测试。
7.如超载灯号亮起，请减低负载。

Disconnect the computer interface or accessory. If the UPS
now works normally, check the interface cable, the attached
computer, and the accessory.
UPS operates on-battery even
though normal line voltage is
thought to exist.
UPS's input circuit breaker
tripped.
Reduce the load on the UPS by unplugging equipment and
reset the circuit breaker.
Very high, low, or distorted
line voltage.
Test the input voltage with the utility voltage display. See
section 5.6. Inexpensive fuel powered generators can distort
the voltage. If acceptable to the load, reduce the UPS's
sensitivity. See section 5.9.
UPS beeps occasionally. Normal UPS operation. None. The UPS is protecting the load.
UPS does not provide expected
back up time.
The UPS's battery is weak
due to recent outage or is
near the end of its service
life.
Charge the battery. The UPS's batteries require recharging
after an extended outage. Batteries wear faster when put into
service often and when operated at elevated temperatures. If
the battery is near the end of its service life, consider replacing
the battery even if the replace battery indicator is not yet lit.
The UPS is overloaded.
Check the UPS's load display. See section 5.4. Unplug less
needed equipment, such as printers.
Front panel indictors flash
sequentially.
The UPS has been shut down
by remote control.
None. The UPS will restart automatically when utility power
returns.
All indicators are lit and the
UPS emits a constant tone.
Internal UPS fault.
Do not attempt to use the UPS. Turn the UPS off and have it
serviced immediately.
The UPS operates normally, but
the site wiring fault indicator is
lit.
Building wire error such as
missing ground or hot to
neutral wire reversal.
Have a qualified electrician correct the building wiring.
Low battery light is on and the
on-line light is off.
The UPS is shut down and

由于Matrix为一模块化的UPS，最简单的方法就是更换电池或EU尝试，就很容易
找出故障部分。绝大部分的问题都出在电池。
无法开启：
自动断电器（Circuit Breaker）跳起。（可能因为超载）

六、软件操作设定
如何设定PowerChute Plus自动关机时间
（以NT版为例）
在PowerChute Plus中，可自行设定要关机的电力事件，包括停电、温度过高、定
时开关机…等等。这些电力事件都列在Configuration选项下的Event Actions中。针
对这些不同的电力事件，每一种都可以自行设定不同的关机程序。
在Event Actions中，左半部Events列出的即为电力事件，右半部Actions for
Selected Event列出的是所要的反应。这里提供的反应有Log Event（将此事件记录于
Event Log中）、Notify Administrators（以message通知系统管理员）、Notify Users
（以message通知指定的User）、Run Command File（关机前先执行指定的程序，用
以关闭Lotus Notes Server、Oracle等）、Send E-Mail（发NT mail）、Page Users
（透过调制解调器发讯号给呼叫器）、Shut Down Server（关机）等七种。
以下我们以停电为例，来设定UPS关机的程序。
1.假设我们想要在停电时，让UPS自动关闭操作系统、计算机及UPS本身，则首先
在Configuration中选Event Actions。在左半部Events中，选UPS On Battery。右
半部Actions for Selected Event中，已预选了Log Eve、Notify User和Shut Down
Server。请选Shut Down Server并按Options，此处要设定UPS以电池供电后多久开
始关机程序。根据负载及需求，输入适当的时间。假设是300秒。此时间过后，将开始
关机程序。
2.接下来请选Events中的System Shutdown Starting的Options。此处设定的关
机开始延迟时间是给上述所提Run Command File程序执行时间用。假设是30秒。此时
间过后，将开始关闭操作系统。
3.接下来请选Configuration中的UPS Shutdown Parameters。在UPS Turn Off
Delay中，有20、160、300、600秒四个选项。此为操作系统关闭最少所需时间。在此
时间后，UPS将自动关闭。如有选底下的Automatic Reboot，则UPS不是关闭而是进入
休眠状态，此时UPS面板灯号轮流闪
烁。UPS将在侦测到市电恢复后自行
开启并开启计算机。

针对Microsoft Office、Corel PerfetOffice、Lotus SmartSuite等应用程序，可在
关闭操作系统前先行存盘关闭。预设时间为60秒，即每个应用程序6秒，共10个。
PowerChute会在开始关机程序后，取此项延迟时间或上述2.中System Shutdown
Starting的延迟时间两者之较长者。设定的时间请以实机试验决定。
